This ultra-slim DC C500 is, the firm claims, one of the lightest five-megapixel, fixed lens cameras currently available. Packing a 1.7-inch, high resolution LCD screen and PictBridge compatibility for direct printing to compatible printers, the BenQ DC C500 also supports PC webcam use, meaning it can be used for online video (a.k.a. web) conferencing.
“The BenQ DC C500 is an exciting addition to the digital camera market and we are looking to promote it heavily in the coming months,” said Robert Dung, BenQ Middle East's managing director.
The company has high hopes for expanding its share of the digital camera market with this new release. In addition to the features listed above, the DC C500 also includes a smart photo-editing function whereby users can trim, resize, rotate, colour filter and edit their snaps (as well as any recorded video content), rather than carrying out such tasks on PC.
