The final all-British clash of the night sees the undefeated British sensation Michael "The Count" Bisping (9-0-0) defending his light-Heavyweight Title against the UKMMAC Heavyweight Champion Ross "The Gladiator" Pointon.
Bisping, from the Cagewarriors pro fight team the Wolfsalir Academy is coming off a tremendous first round win over the highly regarded Jakob “Striking Viking” Lovstad at Strike Force 3 in October and Bisping will be looking to impress the foreign talent scouts with another emphatic win in Cagewarriors competition.
Bisping has also claimed victories at Cagewarriors Strike Force 2 against the tough Finnish brawler Mikka Mehmet and Ultimate Force where he won the CWFC Title against the former Pro boxer Dave Radford. One more win will see Bisping make not only his 3rd successful title defence, but will also win him the brand new CWFC Title outright.
Bisping is also the FX 3 Light-Heavyweight Champion and is seen as the number 1 British Light-Heavyweight. As a result Bisping is getting mentioned around the world due to his continued impressive performances which have seen him steamroll past everyone who has stood in his way in MMA competition.
However standing in his way at Strike Force 4 is the popular Ross “The Gladiator” Pointon from Stoke-on-Trent. Pointon will be bringing his usual army of supporters to the Skydome and will be looking to end the year in style with a win over the current undisputed champion..
Last time out at Strike Force 3, Pointon stomped past Frenchman Jerome Laulan in his most impressive performance to date, however many pundits remain unconvinced and have written him off and even stated that he does not deserve a title shot. However Pointon remains focused and has impressed in training due to a brand new regime which has dramatically changed the way he looks at preparing for a fight.
Will this new approach be enough for the likeable Pointon, or will Bisping underline his status as Britian's number 1 with another crushing (T)KO win? Again this is another fight that will not go the distance and should be a thrilling affair inside the CWFC Octagon once the bell rings.
